Also from the very famous traditions there is to hang a mummified crocodile bodies over their house entrance to keep out the negative energy or evil eye like said in Egypt, which somehow goes back to what ancient Egyptians used to do when they used to hunt crocodiles and do the same thing. As we mention crocodiles, you will find that most of the houses in Nubian villages keep crocodiles alive in cages for the purpose of photography in case tourists would like to take photos.

If you want to get easily to Nubian villages, don’t worry it’s no difficult thing. As long as you are in Aswan it will be easy to access Nubian villages by taking felucca or a small boat along the river Nile. When you reach Nuba, you can have your tea while watching the beauty of river Nile with the sunset breathing fresh air.

When it comes to activities in Nubian villages, it can get really interesting. You can’t go wrong with shopping in the Nubian shops where you can buy Nubian Jewelry, Nubian customs, bags, accessories and also rare spices like cumin, cinnamon, curry, and different types of tea. 
You can also have a nice time in cafes and restaurants with a great view of the river Nile, or you can also have a ride on a camel and take great photographs. Also there are activities that’s related to women more like getting drawings and tattoos on hands and body called “Henna” using natural ingredients made from oils and natural herbs. And last but not least you can visit the Nubian Museum which shows more about the fascinating Nubian rich culture.
